Osamu Murata.
Born in Japan. Graduated from Osaka Prefectural University.
1987-1989 Studied patintings and illustration at Pratt Institute in New York, USA.
I have always been attracted by nature.
Although I was living in beautiful Nasu-Heighlands to the north of Tokyo, I had to move to west part of Japan to escape from radioactive contamination which has been released by the accident of Fukushima nuclear power station.

	全米Dutton Children's Book Competition入選。
1989	帰国。
	Finland航空イラストコンクール優秀賞受賞。 Finland取材旅行。
1998	CANADA取材旅行。
2001	那須高原へ移住 moved to Nasu-Heighlands (150km north from TOKYO)
2002～	個展多数・銀座ギャラリーポート、倉敷中央画廊、国立アートの庭、 那須ギャラリー楸、那須高原オープン・アトリエ
2011	岡山へ移住 moved to Okayama
